Tablao Los Gallos tickets: how to book

What the ticket gets you

A Los Gallos ticket is a seat for one live show of about 75 minutes, put on by the tablao itself. Every night the cast is eight artists: three dancers, three singers and two guitarists. The room is small, and the tablao says it uses no microphones, speakers or amplifiers, so what you hear is the real voice and the real guitar. The GetYourGuide ticket covers the show only: food and drinks aren't part of it, and drinks are sold at the bar.

No seat categories: arrival order decides

Unlike a theatre, Los Gallos doesn't sell seat categories or let you pick a seat online. Every ticket is the same, and under the tablao's own terms, seats are allocated in order of arrival on the day of the show. The tablao keeps the right to hold seats for groups and for people with special needs, and bookings that include children are seated on the upper floor. So the only way to sit close to the stage is to arrive early. The tablao itself suggests arriving 15 to 30 minutes before the show.

Booking ahead or booking direct

Both routes get you into the same show, sold by the same tablao. The difference is the small print. Booked on GetYourGuide, you can cancel for a full refund up to 24 hours before, and you can reserve now and pay later, in your own language and currency. The tablao's own website is in Spanish and takes card payment when you book. Its terms say tickets can't be refunded once bought, even if you can't attend. Its booking page has at times included a drink with the ticket, so check it if that matters to you.

Can you just turn up?

Possibly, but don't build your evening around it. The tablao sells tickets through its website and doesn't say that any seats are kept back for the door. Its phone line is open from 11:00 to 22:00, so on the day you can call and ask whether a show still has room. The room is small, though, and on a busy night a walk-up plan can leave you without a seat. If your dates are fairly fixed, booking ahead with free cancellation costs you little flexibility.

Early show or late show?

There are two shows each evening, an earlier one and a later one, with the same eight-artist format. The booking calendar and your confirmation show the exact time. The choice is really about the rest of your night. The early show leaves the evening free for dinner afterwards in Santa Cruz. The later one lets you eat first, or fit in a long day of sightseeing. Whichever you pick, add 15 to 30 minutes on the front for seats, plus time to walk in through the pedestrian lanes of the old quarter.

Drinks and the bar

Drinks aren't part of the GetYourGuide ticket (the tablao sometimes includes one on tickets sold on its own site), so budget for them separately. The tablao runs its own bar and lists sangria and mixed drinks among its specialities. Order before the show starts if you can, so you're not trying to catch someone's eye while the singer is mid-verse. Food isn't included either, so plan to eat before or after. If you'd assumed the ticket includes a drink, that's an easy mistake to make, because the tablao's own site has run offers that bundle one with direct bookings.

What you'll see on stage

The tablao aims to show a wide range of palos, the different styles of flamenco, so you can feel how each one differs. Its list includes alegrías, bulerías, soleá, tientos, tarantos, seguirillas and farruca. Expect slow, heavy songs as well as bright, fast ones. The night ends with the fin de fiesta, when the whole cast fills the stage, dancing sevillanas and bulerías. The songs are in Spanish, but there's no story to follow, and the tablao's own advice is that you don't need to understand the words to be moved.

Children and age limits

The age rules are firm, so check them before you book for a family. The tablao's own booking form doesn't admit children under 6, and the GetYourGuide ticket isn't suitable for children under 5, so plan on 6 as the youngest age. Minors must come with an adult. On its own site the tablao sells a separate child ticket for ages 6 to 11, and it seats bookings with children on the upper floor. If your children are younger than 6, this is a night for a babysitter or a different plan.

Why this room

Los Gallos opened in April 1966 on Plaza de Santa Cruz, founded by the flamenco enthusiast José Luis Núñez de Prado, and it turned 60 in 2026. The tablao describes itself as the oldest in Seville. Among the artists it lists as having performed there are Antonio Mairena, La Paquera de Jerez, Matilde Coral, Farruco and Manuela Carrasco. In 2004 the Fundación Antonio Machado gave it the Demófilo prize for its record over four decades, and in 2024 it received an award at the Manolo Sanlúcar International Flamenco Awards.

Who this isn't for

If you want dinner and a show in one booking, this isn't it: Los Gallos sells the show, and food isn't part of the ticket. If you need a reserved seat in a set spot, the arrival-order system won't suit you. Families with children under 6 can't go. And if you're hoping for a full theatre production with a plot, sets and stage effects, a 75-minute show in a small room may feel spare. If what you want is flamenco up close and unamplified, it's a strong fit.
